Transplant Foundation Day with the Florida Marlins

Transplant Foundation volunteers swarmed SunLife Stadium Sunday, August 8th for the Marlins V. Cardinals game. While there were ongoing game delays because of the rain, nothing dampened the spirits of the foundation volunteers as they passed out organ donor cards, Transplant Foundation materials and sold 50/50 Raffle Tickets.

Thanks to all Transplant Foundation supporters who purchased tickets for the 50/50 raffle. The winning raffle ticket was #024800 and the winner will win $798, if they contact the Marlins office by August 16th. Proceeds of the raffle benefit TRANSPLANT FOUNDATION and the MARLINS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, and currently the two charities each received total donations of $399.

“The volunteers, without question, did an amazing job,” noted Special Events/Education Assistant Essence Anthony. “It’s because of them, events like this are successful outlets for Transplant Foundation.” Many thanks to all Transplant Foundation volunteers: Knots of Hope, Margaret Griswold, Audra & Lexie Lopez, Charlie Silberman, and Karen & Lenny Weiss, for braving the elements and spreading the word about organ donation.
