A Fourth of July Kickoff
America’s Backyard Fundraiser brought in over $1100 dollars
On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Transplant Foundation hosted its summer fundraiser, Independence Rocks, in downtown Fort Lauderdale America’s Backyard. The venue served as the perfect hotspot to kickoff the holiday weekend as over 50 dedicated members and new supporters stopped by to make their presence known.
The evening festivities began with a dinner buffet as guests mingled with one another and then savored the Transplanti (Apple Martini). In addition, attendees tried their luck in the 50/50 raffle. Eloisa Arias, Transplant Foundation member was the winner of the door prize as she walked away with a Jack Daniels Whiskey and Domino set provided by Dewar’s 12. 50/50 Raffle winner, John Esposito, walked away with $200 cash.
“We are thrilled that this laid-back-kick-off-your-shoes event had a great turnout,” said Melissa Chediak-Wetzel, Special Events Manager. "It was great opportunity to reach out to a new demographic in the Fort Lauderdale area. It’s great that we found a new partner that will help us continue to grow.”
