Transplant Foundation’s Mixer Rocked

Transplant Foundation’s lively members rocked out at the July 7th Independence Rocks mixer at Archie’s in Mary Brickell Village.  The intimate group enjoyed a complimentary drink with donation to the Transplant Foundation, and the musical stylings of A Little Knight Music’s Crosswind trio.

A Little Knight Music founder Ted Knight has a close tie to transplantation—his wife Marie is a heart transplant recipient.  Crosswind kept the crowd grooving all evening.  Check out their recap: http://www.tedknight.com/crosswind.htm

The evening’s proceeds benefited Transplant Foundation’s Adelina Gomez Pediatric Fund to help fundraise toward the Back to School Bash held later that month.  Guests also had the chance to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets—and the winner, Melissa Chediak-Wetzel, donated the proceeds back to the foundation.  “I had always planned on giving back the money to the foundation,” she commented.  “But what was really touching to hear was fellow ticket buyers share they were poised to do the same thing.  Everyone was in it to win it for the Transplant Foundation!”

Many thanks to Archie’s and A Little Knight Music for donating their facility and talent, and thanks to all attendees.
